Our instructors teach proper form and provide modifications for every fitness level.

What Is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses a specialized machine (called a reformer) with springs, pulleys, and a sliding carriage to create resistance during exercises. Unlike mat Pilates, the reformer allows for hundreds of movement variations and adjustable difficulty.

Common Beginner Questions

Do I need to be flexible?

No. Pilates actually helps improve flexibility over time. You’ll work within your current range of motion and gradually increase it.

Will I be able to keep up?

Yes. Instructors provide easier modifications for every exercise. You’ll work at your own pace and intensity level.

What should I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid anything too loose that might get caught in the machine. Grip socks are required (available for purchase at the studio).

How often should I take classes?

Most beginners start with 1-2 classes per week. As you build strength and familiarity with the movements, you can increase to 2-3 times per week.

Will I see results?

Most people notice improved core strength and posture within 2-3 weeks of consistent practice. Muscle definition and flexibility improvements typically appear within 4-6 weeks.
